My humans aren’t allowed to go walking unleashed
and you know that it’s for their own good.
If left on their own, they might wander away
and go farther than really they should.
The poor dears don’t know
All the dangers out there
There are squirrels and rabbits and birds
And there might be much worse
Than those things that I said
Or so I’ve reliably heard.
So I keep them all roped
When we venture outside
And I watch and I listen and sniff
To be sure they stay safe
And well out of harms way
‘Cause I don’t like the game of “what if”.
