"Simplicity" rearranged

Greenland

The vance quisling seems to think that Greenlanders really ought to want to become part of the US. Presumably like the people in Puerto Rico or Guam, who are US citizens but not really, particularly in the eyes of the orange baby and its mob.

Why, exactly, would a Greenland resident prefer to be a member of the US rather than Denmark? Well, there’s happiness, for one thing. Residents of the US rank about number 24 among nations in happiness. That’s pretty good, right? Except that Denmark is number 2. OK, sure, but how about medical care? The US healthcare system is pretty good…except that people in Denmark live longer, are healthier, and their health care is free. Kids, then, it’s better to be a child in the US, surely. Except that in Denmark, parents get a year of parental leave, and in the US some of us get 12 weeks, and others get nothing. And the children themselves, in Denmark, are twice as likely to survive to be five than are kids in the US. I guess that brings us to “freedum.” Nations are scored on freedom, too. The US earns a score of 84. OK, so that’s settled? Not so fast; Denmark’s score is 97.

I’m starting to wonder about real estate prices in Greenland and Denmark.
