The president, in its inaugural address, declared a “national energy emergency.” Why does it insist on existing in its own alternate (worse) reality? In our reality (“real reality”) the US is doing historically well in energy:
Production, the light brown line, exceeds consumption (blue line) and while the nation both imports and exports energy products (we’re talking about oil and related things), the dark brown export line is higher than the green import line. Both production and exports are trending up, not down.
The president evidently takes in information only from interpersonal sources, but don’t you think it should be informed about this by somebody who has access?
