Simplicity rearranged

unmonetizable content since 1997

A completely new product line

From Apple, of all vendors! This new system seems to represent a whole new industrial design, too. They don’t say much about the technical specs, but maybe that’s still on the way. No prices yet either. It’s a fascinating departure, and a return to some old-school tech — it has a trackball! And it’s hard to tell for sure, but could that be a CRT display?

It seems to have different branding, too; is it an Apple Lumon, a Lumon Apple, or can Apple be selling something from a different company altogether? The whole thing is very difficult to figure out. Could this have something to do with Apple Intelligence, perhaps?

About Me

I’m Pete Harbeson, a writer (among other things) located near Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing my own content, I’ve learned to translate for my loquacious and opinionated pup Chocolate Bossypaws. No surprise, she mostly speaks in doggerel. You can find her contributions tagged with Chocolatiana.

Check out my other blog, Techlimitics, where I’m grappling with the nature of simplicity. You can also find some of my minor software projects at GitHub. Nothing very impressive. I mostly write tiny utilities in Python.

I find myself suddenly de-corporatized (their choice, not mine). To help keep the lights on, buy me a coffee!
