Irony

This should be listed as the definition of “irony” in some dictionary. Stephen Miller…Stephen Miller! The “un-American political extremist.” He wrote this:

“There is an ideology that has steadily been growing in this country which hates everything that is good, righteous and beautiful and celebrates everything that is warped, twisted and depraved. It is an ideology at war with family and nature. It is envious, malicious, and soulless.”

He didn’t intend to, but just described Trumpism perfectly. The arts are under attack, and they are the embodiment of righteous and beautiful. Tolerance and equality are good, but MAGA hates them. The core of con artists like the orange baby? “Envious, malicious, and soulless.”

About Me

I’m Pete Harbeson, a writer (among other things) located near Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing my own content, I’ve learned to translate for my loquacious and opinionated pup Chocolate Bossypaws. No surprise, she mostly speaks in doggerel. You can find her contributions tagged with Chocolatiana.

Check out my other blog, Techlimitics, where I’m grappling with the nature of simplicity. You can also find some of my minor software projects at GitHub. Nothing very impressive. I mostly write tiny utilities in Python.

I find myself suddenly de-corporatized (their choice, not mine). To help keep the lights on, buy me a coffee!
