Simplicity rearranged

unmonetizable content since 1997

Is it over?

Now people are being disappeared here in the US by squads of thugs who think they’re empowered by authority. Mahmoud Khalil is now an overtly political prisoner here. We have political prisoners now. We disappear people now.

Here are two sources of Khalil’s letter from the concentration camp:

Guardian US
(Posting more than one link to politically disfavored information should be par for the course now, I guess.)

The “it” in the title is the United States, of course. I wonder just how much longer the dismantling is going to continue, and whether it’s already been fundamentally successful, as in, the ideas behind this country have now been crushed.

About Me

I’m Pete Harbeson, a writer (among other things) located near Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing my own content, I’ve learned to translate for my loquacious and opinionated pup Chocolate Bossypaws. No surprise, she mostly speaks in doggerel. You can find her contributions tagged with Chocolatiana.

Check out my other blog, Techlimitics, where I’m grappling with the nature of simplicity. You can also find some of my minor software projects at GitHub. Nothing very impressive. I mostly write tiny utilities in Python.

I find myself suddenly de-corporatized (their choice, not mine). To help keep the lights on, buy me a coffee!
