It doesn’t care, except about power

The orange baby just launched a war it won’t explain. None of the lickspittles in its cabal will explain it either. Here’s a possibility. The premises:

• Americans are coming to despise the orange baby, its pretend government, and its policies.
• The orange baby knows this, even though what it says is, as usual, just a bundle of nonsense fabrications.
• It also knows that there are elections coming up and it, and its backers, are (thanks to it) going to lose big.
• It will do anything to avoid losing.
• As a sociopath, it doesn’t give a shit about any person, or really anything except hanging on to the power it currently has.

The possibility: it started this war as a provocation, hoping (or, worse, actually plotting with its foreign counterparts) to goad Iran into a terrorist strike on the US. A strike that might enable the orange baby to avoid the (or any?) elections.

About Me

I’m Pete Harbeson, a writer (among other things) located near Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing my own content, I’ve learned to translate for my loquacious and opinionated pup Chocolate Bossypaws. No surprise, she mostly speaks in doggerel. You can find her contributions tagged with Chocolatiana.

Check out my other blog, Techlimitics, where I’m grappling with the nature of simplicity. You can also find some of my minor software projects at GitHub. Nothing very impressive. I mostly write tiny utilities in Python.

I find myself suddenly de-corporatized (their choice, not mine). To help keep the lights on, buy me a coffee!
