Simplicity rearranged

No Sitting Around

There are humans in my family
a couple are quite small.
MY little ones are not so bad,
but I do not like them all.

Today it was annoying;
I thought I was getting walked,
but instead we just went outside and I sat
and my full-size human just talked.

Two words came up more than seven times:
the words were “school” and “bus.”
And finally I found out what was going on;
One small was coming home to us.

But I didn’t like it, no I did not,
In fact it’s a thing I am hating.
I don’t mean the school, the small, or the bus;
What I really can’t stand is waiting.

About Me

I’m Pete Harbeson, a writer (among other things) located near Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing my own content, I’ve learned to translate for my loquacious and opinionated pup Chocolate Bossypaws. No surprise, she mostly speaks in doggerel. You can find her contributions tagged with Chocolatiana.

Check out my other blog, Techlimitics, where I’m grappling with the nature of simplicity. You can also find some of my minor software projects at GitHub. Nothing very impressive. I mostly write tiny utilities in Python.

I find myself suddenly de-corporatized (their choice, not mine). To help keep the lights on, buy me a coffee!
