Growling about cars

by Chocolate

My friends woof to me about rides in a car.
They like them. They’re great, like a super-speed run.
I disagree; I don’t think cars are fun.
I already can run super fast, super far.

The thing about running is I am the boss;
I choose where to go, which direction to head.
If I change my mind I can just stop instead
(Except when I’m running ‘cause sticks have been tossed.)

I also am smart! And I can just bet
That the end of a ride in the car I won’t like.
To me this adds up to a car ride’s third strike:
Three rides outa five, there I am at the vet.

About Me

I’m Pete Harbeson, a writer (among other things) located near Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to writing my own content, I’ve learned to translate for my loquacious and opinionated pup Chocolate Bossypaws. No surprise, she mostly speaks in doggerel. You can find her contributions tagged with Chocolatiana.

Check out my other blog, Techlimitics, where I’m grappling with the nature of simplicity. You can also find some of my minor software projects at GitHub. Nothing very impressive. I mostly write tiny utilities in Python.

I find myself suddenly de-corporatized (their choice, not mine). To help keep the lights on, buy me a coffee!
